WE HAVE A NEW DIRECTOR
Jennifer Bova taught at the elementary level for thiry-two years in the Lindenhurst school district and has served on the Policy Board for the past five years. She was one of the first teachers to participate in the Center's
Teacher Leadership program and has published her work on the "Reading and Writing Connection" in our Center publication By US. Taking an early
interest in working with the Center, Jennifer spearheaded the development of
the new teacher workshop series which she continues to implement.

In addition to multiple degrees in education and reading, Jennifer was
selected as the New York State Lottery's Educator of the Week in January
2003.

Blue Ribbon Programs
Blue Ribbon Programs offer the best in program planning for they provide
an immersion in a study of a content area, instructional strategy, or
assessment. The entire program is offered over a period of four
semesters, although teachers may opt to enroll in a single semester if room
permits. It also allows teachers to look ahead and view a complete program.

Partnership with Brooklyn College
Graduate courses in Special Education and Literacy will be offered beginning fall 2007 at sharply reduced tuition rates.

By Us
A new Center publication that will feature the work of several teachers who engaged in yearlong action research within their classrooms.
