ATTENTION ALL PERSONS SEEKING DASA CERTIFICATION
DURING THE NYS STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR THE COVID-19 VIRUS:
As per NYSED, the OWL Teacher Center will be conducting the 6 hour mandated DASA training completely online until the state of emergency is lifted by Gov. Cuomo.
We are now accepting registration for April and May trainings.
Please look for the flyer that corresponds to the month of the training you want, print it out, clip off the bottom portion, and mail it with your deposit as directed on the form.
We will confirm receipt when we are permitted into our office.
In addition, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, email address and mobile number so that we can register you remotely. You will be contacted by our instructors shortly before the training date with all of the information you will need to log in and complete the training.

DASA Training at the OWL Teacher Center
The Dignity for All Students Act requires all newly certified (December 31, 2013 and after) educators to undergo a minimum of 6 hours of training by a NYS certified provider.
The OWL Teacher Center, a state certified provider, is offering 6 hour workshops for all New York teachers who are required to take them. Workshop dates will be added according to demand. Our instructors will be conducting the workshops according to the following schedule:
In this time of uncertainty, we need to be prepared to meet our responsibilities as teachers no matter what the conditions may be. In order to help you prepare for September, we are offering two new workshop series. If you click on the registration links, you will be able to see the details of each workshop, the dates and times.
You may take whatever number of workshops you like. If you take all of them (both series), you will earn one inservice credit (15 CTLE hours).
If you take one or a few, you will earn CTLE hours.

Workshop Schedule for June 2022
DASA Training Online - Beginning Monday, June 6, 2022
Please be sure to follow the steps outlined below in order to successfully participate in and complete the course.
CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT
To complete your Dignity for All Students Act certification training and receive your certificate posted to your TEACH Account, you will create a (free) PERSONAL account with GOOGLE – YOU CANNOT USE A SCHOOL DISTRICT ACCOUNT.
If you do not already have a PERSONAL Google account, please create one using the link below.
Once the account is set up, or if you already have an account, use the access code to sign-in on June 6, 2022.
The ACCESS CODE FOR OUR GOOGLE CLASS WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU THROUGH THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO YOUR COURSE REGISTRATION.
The 6-hour DASA course is separated into two strands. You will have 2 weeks from the start date to complete the training.

This is a 6 hour online training consisting of instruction plus modules. Two days prior to March 2, you will receive a Welcome Packet and an access code to the training. The Welcome Packet will contain comprehensive instructions on how to successfully complete the course.
